A deeper understanding
Systematic psychosocial needs-based assessment has been advocated as best practice for suicide assessment today. It is a client-centred and collaborative interview process informed by systematic information gathering domains to provide a means of identifying circumstances contributing to self-harm and suicidality, for informing commensurate care. Fundamental concepts around the temporal nature of suicidality, the importance of client narrative as expert in information gathering as well as, techniques for uncovering suicidal intent represent key pillars for informing best practice in suicide assessment today.
Reflect and discuss
This is live CPD where you will engage deeply with the content through discussion and role play, and be encouraged to ask questions. You will be learning alongside your peers and sharing your knowledge and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
