A deeper understanding
In this presentation, we will focus on the ways that complex neurodiversity/neurodivergence can be conceptualised, understood and supported in psychological practice. This includes frameworks for understanding and designing interventions for the complex behavioural symptoms i.e., physical and verbal aggression, perseveration, stealing, even sexualised behaviours etc that can accompany individuals with diagnoses such as FASD, autism, adhd, ODD, cPTSD etc. Rather than focusing solely on diagnosis, participants will be taught a brain-based framework for understanding complex neurodivergence and behavioural symptoms that will assist in understanding and designing more effective interventions.
Reflect and discuss
This is live CPD where you will engage deeply with the content through discussion and role play, and be encouraged to ask questions. You will be learning alongside your peers and sharing your knowledge and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
