A deeper understanding
This session supports early career psychologists to move beyond surface-level behaviour and develop a clear formulation of children’s emotional dysregulation. It integrates developmental principles of co-regulation, attachment, and behavioural function to help clinicians understand why meltdowns occur and how they are maintained. Through discussion, role play, and skill-based practice, participants learn how to translate this formulation into simple, effective strategies they can use with both children and parents
Reflect and discuss
This is live CPD where you will engage deeply with the content through discussion and role play, and be encouraged to ask questions. You will be learning alongside your peers and sharing your knowledge and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
