A deeper understanding

Functional neurological disorder (FND) is a broad category of symptom presentations. It is the second-most-common reason for presentation to neurology. Treatment typically involves a multidisciplinary approach, and psychologists’ input can be useful in a number of ways: to formulate the total symptom presentation, to target symptoms directly, to treat co-morbid psychological difficulties, and/ or to support engagement with physiotherapy or other allied health treatments.

This presentation will include a brief framework introduction to FND, including recent research findings, before moving into treatment approaches.

Reflect and discuss

This is live CPD where you will engage deeply with the content through discussion and role play, and be encouraged to ask questions.  You will be learning alongside your peers and sharing your knowledge and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.

Guest Lecturer:  Rian Dob

Dr Rian Dob is a clinical neuropsychologist who has worked in hospital and now private practice supporting clients with FND.
