A deeper understanding

All psychologists need tools and frameworks for working with clients whose symptoms are more characterological in nature. These clients often provoke intense feelings of hopelessness, frustration, anger and irritability in therapists. An understanding of transference and countertransference will provide not only a framework to understand these emotions in yourself, but also help you to recognise how to use these reactions to inform you about the client's internal and interpersonal world in order to better help them achieve lasting change.

Reflect and discuss

This is live CPD where you will engage deeply with the content through discussion and role play, and be encouraged to ask questions.  You will be learning alongside your peers and sharing your knowledge and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
