A deeper understanding
In this training session, participants will learn key background relating to nosology and key terms in relation to trauma and PTSD. Distinctions between the diagnoses of PTSD and Complex PTSD will be discussed. Psychometrically sound and reliable assessment measures will be introduced. Evidence-based treatment approaches will be described, with key process issues (for both clients and clinicians) discussed.
Reflect and discuss
This is live CPD where you will engage deeply with the content through discussion and role play, and be encouraged to ask questions. You will be learning alongside your peers and sharing your knowledge and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
Professor Vanessa Cobham
Assoc. Prof. Vanessa E. Cobham is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Children’s Health Queensland and an expert in child and adolescent anxiety and post-traumatic mental health.
As an Associate Professor at The University of Queensland, her research focuses on the development of anxiety and trauma-related disorders and family-centered interventions.
She has led government initiatives to address post-disaster mental health needs and has published extensively on evidence-based treatments.
